Getting in touch with VeganMed’s Medical Information team is easy! There are three ways to connect with us located on our homepage:

Each option is designed to make it simple to get the answers you need, whenever you need them.

Navigating VeganMed Contact Forms
We offer three contact forms: our Live Chat form, Main Contact form, and Prescription Medication form. No matter which form you choose, one of our pharmacists will review and respond to your inquiry.
Things to Remember When Submitting an Inquiry
Be Specific: Please provide the exact name of the medication you're looking for (e.g., "amoxicillin" rather than "an animal-free antibiotic"). This helps our team respond faster.
If your doctor asks for a list of “animal-free antibiotics”, instead ask them for the names of medications that would work for you and our team will identify which medications in that list have animal-free alternatives!
For specific medications, provide us the NDC (National Drug Code) if possible.
Response Time: We aim to reply within 24 hours, but responses may take longer, especially on weekends. If you don’t hear from us after 3 days, we likely didn’t receive your message. Please feel free to follow up – we’re here for you! We respond to 100% of the messages we receive.
Manufacturer Matters: Some brands (e.g., Equate) require specific details such as lot or receipt number to provide ingredient information. Other manufacturers like Bausch & Lomb still require you to contact them directly (yes, we know it’s a pain). So when you call them, tell them to partner with VeganMed because it makes sense for all the information to be in one central source.
Navigating Our Marketplace: All OTC products in our marketplace are verified or certified as animal-free.
Prescription medications listed on our marketplace means we have an animal-free alternative, but you will need to contact us regarding the details. Why? Because formulations change and not every manufacturer makes an animal-free version.
Answer Time Estimate: We can’t always provide a precise timeframe for answers, as it depends on our internal database and, in some cases, waiting on the manufacturer. You’re welcome to check back in periodically; that will not bother us.

What to do with the Information VeganMed Provides
When you receive a response from our team, it will include the drug name, manufacturer, National Drug Code (NDC), and its animal-free status. To obtain the animal-free option, you can ask your local pharmacy if they have the specific NDC in stock or if they can order it for you. Alternatively, you can request that your prescriber specify the NDC or manufacturer on your prescription. VeganMed is not a licensed pharmacy and we do not fill the prescription ourselves. However, we are partnered with several pharmacies that are well versed in alpha-gal and can assist you in obtaining your animal-free prescription!
What NOT to do with the Information VeganMed Provides
The information we provide is specific to you only. Please do not share this information publicly online as formulations may change and every person/scenario is different. To get the most updated information, reach out to our team directly.
