How Love.Life Telehealth is Transforming Patient Care Through Telemedicine

Updated: Sep 13

Love.Life Telehealth offers a different approach to healthcare, focusing on personalized care that addresses the root causes of chronic diseases. “At Love.Life Telehealth the conversations are different,” stated co-founder Anthony Masiello. “The conventional medical system is broken, focusing on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of disease. The doctors at Love.Life Telehealth empower their patients to take ownership of their health and to get well, stay well, and enjoy living a healthy lifestyle.” With a team of licensed and board-certified physicians practicing integrative and lifestyle medicine, Love.Life Telehealth works with patients to create customized health plans that go well beyond standard care. With on-line appointments available across all 50 states and internationally, Love.Life Telehealth provides the care and support needed to help people enjoy healthier, longer lives.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine involves using secure video conferencing technology to provide patient care remotely, allowing a physician to deliver care to a patient in a different location.

What is lifestyle medicine?

Lifestyle medicine focuses on promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes. Adopting habits like eating more fruits and vegetables, exercising, reducing stress, improving sleep, quitting tobacco, and maintaining a healthy weight can lead to significant health improvements and, often, the reversal of chronic diseases.

How does it work?

Their doctors are available across all 50 states! Getting started is simple—just follow these four easy steps:

  1. Choose your doctor, make an appointment

  2. Meet your doctor, create your plan

  3. Embrace change and start investing in yourself.

  4. Check in and check up.

How much does it cost?

Love.Life Telehealth works very hard to keep the costs as affordable as possible. Individual appointments range from $175 for 30-minutes and $350 for 60-minutes. The full appointment time is spent one-on-one with you and your doctor, focused on you and your needs.

How to book your appointment?

Scheduling your appointment is easy.

  1. Select a doctor who is licensed in the state where you’ll be at the time of your appointment.

  2. Choose an appointment type.

    • A 60-minute new patient appointment is recommended, though some doctors offer 30-minute options.

  3. Use the scheduler to pick a convenient date and time.

    • Times are shown in your doctor’s time zone, so make sure to double-check.

  4. Enter your personal and billing information to book the appointment.

  5. Check your email for appointment confirmation, patient portal setup, and new patient intake forms.

    • Take your time filling out the forms to help your doctor prepare.

If you have any questions throughout the process, please call 888 420-7284.  They are only a phone call away and are always happy to help!

Does Love.Life accept insurance?

Love.Life Telehealth operates as a cash-pay service and does not accept insurance. Patients can use FSA and HSA spending account cards for payment, and in some cases, a “superbill” can be provided for submission to private insurance for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement varies based on individual insurance plans, medical conditions, and other factors. However, Medicare patients cannot submit for reimbursement as the doctors at Love.Life Telehealth have opted out of the Medicare system.

What can you expect on your first visit with a Love.Life physician?

Every Love.Life Telehealth appointment is tailored to the patient’s needs. Rather than following a standard program, doctors take time to understand each patient’s history, set personalized health goals, and create a plan to achieve them. This plan may focus on improving symptoms, health markers, reducing medications, or overall well-being. Follow-up appointments are scheduled based on the patient’s condition and needs, ensuring flexibility and collaboration.

Can Love.Life Telehealth physicians schedule labs and prescribe medication if needed?

Yes, the appointment at Love.Life Telehealth is with a licensed doctor. The doctor will order labs and prescribe or de-prescribe medications based on medical needs. Labs will be done at Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp, with testing conducted at a local Patient Service Center. Prescriptions will be sent to the local pharmacy for pickup.

Are the physicians at Love.Life Telehealth familiar with Alpha-gal Syndrome?

Yes! VeganMed is excited to announce our collaboration with Love.Life Telehealth. Their physicians are not only knowledgeable about Alpha-gal Syndrome but are also equipped to provide accurate diagnoses and tailored care.

“We are thrilled to partner with VeganMed to address the gaps in knowledge and care for Alpha-gal Syndrome,” said Dr. Kim Scheuer, MD, physician at Love.Life Telehealth. “Our team is committed to advancing understanding and delivering personalized treatment for AGS patients.”

This partnership is crucial because a recent analysis revealed a significant gap in knowledge among U.S. healthcare providers regarding Alpha-gal Syndrome. A nationwide survey of 1,500 providers found that 42% were unaware of AGS, and 35% lacked confidence in diagnosing or managing it. With 78% of providers having little to no knowledge of AGS, our collaboration with Love.Life aims to bridge this gap and improve patient care.
